7 Habits. How to take care of sensitive skin.
Having sensitive skin is an everyday struggle. In order
to make peace with our epidermis, here are 7 good habits which, once integrated
into our beauty routine, will make your life much simpler.
1. Rinse off
Between cleaning and applying your day
cream, make sure you don't skip one step: rinsing. Use a spray of thermal
water to remove residues from your cleaning product and above all to get rid of
the lime contained in tap water , which may dry and irritate the
epidermis. The healthy skin is ready to welcome your treatment.
2. Look at the labels
Sensitive skin must be extra vigilant when
buying a beauty product . Always
take care to linger on the list of ingredients (called INCI) on the packaging. The
shorter it is, the better; we are dealing with a lighter composition,
suitable for delicate skin. Ideally, this formula should also be tested
under medical supervision. These rules also apply to make-up .
3. Test
Above all, test each of your purchases
before using them to avoid any complications for your delicate skin. To do
this, apply them on a small invisible area and check that no negative reaction
occurs.
4. Measure your gestures
To dry the skin, do not rub, but pat with a
clean, soft cloth (the tissues are perfect for the face). To apply care
and make-up, after washing your hands, delicate movements of the fingertips are
preferred.
5. Protect yourself
Adopt the right shields to protect yourself
from external aggression (such as the sun, pollution, cold) and avoid
traumatizing your skin with too sudden and significant temperature changes (too
hot showers or excessive heating) which make the skin more prone irritation and
redness, as well as dryness and dehydration.
Naturally, we think of protecting our skin all year round from UV rays with a CC Cream; and
even more so in summer with an effective sun care against UVA and UVB.
6. Adjust the frequencies of use
Masks , peels and other revitalizing treatments
attack even more sensitive skin. We therefore systematically replace
"to be used once a week" by "to be used once or twice a month,
no more".
7. Get into the routine
Once you've found the right routine, keep it. Changing products too
often could lead to rough skin, just like using too many beauty products .
